in contradiction of the law & security protocol

& accidentally included a reporter.

They use illegal EOs to intimidate,

swat teams to illegally grab legal residents

& illegal flights to send immigrants

to prisons in other countries.

They fire workers without cause,

decimate agencies without reason

& destroy programs without

thinking through the consequences.

Signalgate may have seemed about

as smart & secure as a drunken Frat Party

but at least some frats do community service ...

And you can grow out of fraternity life

...whereas pledging yourself to Trump

is a lifetime of cruelty, chaos & incompetence.

You're not alone so find a friendly face,

a comradely conversation & welcoming space

at your local progressive social club.

The detention of a green-card-holder for political views,

deportation of immigrants convicted of no crimes,

denial of entry to a researcher for his texts.

Ignoring the rulings of federal judges,

impeding the ability of courts to rein them in,

impeachment talk for those who disagree.

Canceling essential & life-saving services,

cutting public servants in spite of the law,

killing entire programs Americans rely on,

coming for the entire Dept. of Ed. next.

We say tyrants want to be judge, jury & executioner.

But these guys disparage judges, dismiss juries

& focus on executions -- of people, programs & plans.

Yet as Republicans avoid constituents,

as Trump's approval rating drops

along with Musk's Tesla valuation,

they'll learn the court of public opinion

is still preparing to deliver justice.

Have a sip of something & some sane company

to lift your spirits & be together for a night

at your local progressive social club.

As Congress battles over a government shutdown,

Republicans back a continuing resolution

that would harm DC, increase military spending

& leave the free rein to dodgy DOGE

to continue shutting down government on its own.

Trump & Musk hack away at education,

DOGE sharpens its cleaver for Social Security

& the admin shreds court decisions

declaring the White House actions illegal.

Trump waffles & rants on tariffs,

backs RFK Jr's pro-measles agenda

& hawks Teslas from the White House,

while the economy & democracy suffer.

And Democrats waver on how to oppose,

with some voting for Trump nominees,

debating tactics & unable to draw red lines

that they & the public see & believe.

In the face of this continuous ruination

& a dirty DOGEy continuing resolution,

we need solutions & revolutions --

more than Dems' continuing irresolution.

Lift a toast to those lifting up their voices

& share a night to discuss the fight

with your local progressive social club.
